Karen Everett

I live in the Hillview community and I have four boys – two of whom are at the school in Year 2 and Year 5 and two that have since left for secondary school.  Having had children at the school for the past 12 years I am familiar with the school curriculum and activities, the layout of the school and the teaching staff.  I believe this gives me an excellent insight into the educational and wellbeing needs of the children and the school.

In my professional capacity I am a qualified solicitor of twenty years experience in the field of corporate governance and planning and highway related matters.  I am employed by a local authority in Hampshire as their Assistant Head of Legal Services.  As part of that role I have advised on various committees/boards and panel hearings as the lead lawyer.

I joined the governing body in 2020.  I feel very passionate about my role as a governor and I am keen to get involved in supporting the strategic planning of the school.
