Tracey Holmes

Hi, my name is Tracey Holmes and I joined the Hill View Primary Governing body in October 2020 responsible for Year 6 and STEAM. I volunteered and was subsequently recruited as an active STEM Ambassador, and I am also  a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and member of the Institute of Physics (IOP). I work for the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) as the Royal Navy embed to find and fund exploitable innovation to support UK defence and security quickly and effectively, and support UK prosperity. Prior to joining DASA I have had a varied career; post school as a quality (and recipe) controller in both clothing manufacture and the  food industry with a short time researching fuel cell catalysts. I then had an opportunity to return to education and complete an Applied Science Degree at the Royal Military College of Science, subsequently completing a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education for Secondary Science.  I have spent 16 years in Education in a variety of schools, roles and responsibilities, including Head of Science and Assistant Head Teacher.
